The Kempffer House (also known as the Kempffer Cultural Interpretation Centre) which is in the center of New Carlisle, is the home to a permanent exhibit, a collection of artifacts, temporary exhibits, and tourist information. The Kempffer House is managed by Heritage New Carlisle, a non-profit organization which is run by volunteers and whose goal is aimed at protecting, promoting and restoring the architectural, material and heritage of New Carlisle. Besides its artifacts and exhibits, the Kempffer house also organizes cultural activities and events such as conferences, vernissages and music concerts. The Kempffer house also contains a boutique along with reservations that can be made for afternoon tea (afternoon tea will not be available for the 2023 summer season).

Along with this, Heritage New Carlisle also hosts local art shows, conferences on local history, workshops, rents out quadicycles while also offering outdoor heritage tours at the Kempffer House. The Kempffer house is open from July 4th-August 26th for the 2023 summer season (in season) from 10am – 6pm Tuesday – Saturday. It is also open throughout the rest of the year (off season) however, during its off-season months visits/reservations are available by appointment only.
